Forklift Pollution Effects and Prevention

There is almost 60 percent of places where people uses Forklift Service for handling, Loading and carrying equipment. Electric Forklifts are considered to be expensive and safe for the environment as compared to LPG or Oil. LPG Forklifts can cause the exposure of CO (Carbon Mono oxide) in environment, which causes pollution. Not only this, forklift can also produce too much Noise pollution.  

The effects of this pollution can be minor to major. Some diseases that were observed so far are:

Partially or Completely Deafness

Due to too much noise at constructing area, people sometimes lost their hearing completely or partially. 

Breathing Problem

Smoke and other bad smells can cause asthma issue in people.  

Skin Diseases

Many skin diseases are caused by the corrosion of forklift or the oil waster through this machine.

These problems can occur in every third person working in a construction environment. This is important to control any kind of pollution which forklift can produce or can be produce during its maintenance.

Some points are here that every forklift handler should keep in mind:

Care of Battery:

If you would not care for your battery it would not only cause pollution but also you can suffer from an accident. Washing battery on proper time is necessary. Corrosion on battery can make the battery life shorter. Never clean this corrosion by hand. Use battery wash water for this.

The battery wash water would contain small particles of Lead, copper so be careful. Waste this cleaning water properly. Cleaning the battery in a proper way will make healthy environment.  

Carbon Monoxide control

This is important to save the environment form Carbon Monoxide. For this purpose always take care of Air and fuel mixture control. This will control the emission of CO in the environment. This is control is also better to save your engine. To know the Air and Fuel Mixture ratio you should keep a trained driver. 

Making Clean Forklift

Usually outdoor forklifts receive more dirt and mud upon it. Also the forklift batteries can produce small amount of acid. These things must need to clear properly at the proper time. At this stage always waste things in a proper place. Some companies or construction zones are offering now days recycling of these materials.

 Do not use any kind of agent to clean the truck which would cause the pollution. 

Oil changing

Engine oil of every vehicle should change time to time. If this would not do, your vehicle would start passing black smoke and it would be the most dangerous way of polluting environment. 

These things must considered by forklift handlers. Because healthy life required pollution free environment.
