Safety
comes first, is very common phrase. So to make workplace safe, employer used
different signs. These signs are basically way of communication. Their importance can not be overstressed. Employers
are legally obligated to place these safety signs at workplace and must educate
their employees about these signs. These are key point in preventing the
injuries at workplace. Here I am giving brief over view of important safety
signs at workplace. This would help you to understand the meaning of these
signs so that you could consider not only your safety but all of those who are
working around you.
Prohibition Sign
This
is prohibited or danger signs. Red color is used. It is used to stop certain
type of behavior. Stop, do not or you must not, these types of words are used.
Warning Sign
It
is warning sign. Yellow color is used. Its purpose is to warn people about any
type of hazard. Dangers, be careful, hazards, beware, caution, these types of
words are used to indicate it.
Mandatory Sign
It
is a mandatory sign. Blue color is used. It indicates that a specific course of
action must be undertaken. Do, carry out instructions, obey, you must, these
types of words are used for this.
Safe Condition Sign
It
is signs of safety or no danger. Green color is used. It indicates the safe
conditions. First aid, safe way, where to go in emergency, these types of words
is used.
Fire Equipment Sign
It
is a fire fighting signs. Red color is used. It indicates the location of fire
fighting equipment. Location of fire fighting equipment, type of fire fighting
equipment, these types of words is used.
